Natá and Santiago/Colorada

Natá

The "new" church
Plaza across from the church. Free wifi!
 Inside the church.
The view from the bell tower.
I had to watch out for pigeon poo up in the bell tower.
They had made it their home.
There was even a deceased pigeon up there. Between that and the poop it smelled pretty bad. But it made for great pictures!
Walking down the street. These are some of the students I taught.
 Down the street.
 Concert time!
The kids played some traditional songs for us before we played for them and their families.
This concert took place in the old church which was not as ornate as the new one. However, this is the one with the tomb. See above.
These guys were jammin' hard core during their part of the concert. It was awesome!
Luis and Mario playing the duet.
It was a very difficult piece to play but they did a great job!
Luis and Isaac playing the Passacaglia.
They also did a great job.

Santiago

Here is a view of the school we taught at.
I love how all of the schools here have such great gardens. I would love to learn in a place like this.
Josue teaching a beginner violin master class.
The kids learned how to play twinkle twinkle by rote in about 10 minutes. Josue is such a great teacher!
The "Escuela Normal" or the normal school. This school is the pride of the town and I can see why. I would love to teach and learn here.

Colorada

Before going to dinner, we went to check out a place called Colorada.
It was a very beautiful place.
This house is a typical house for the interior of the country. The roof is different and the layout is wide rather than long like in the city.

The plaza in front of the church. These parks seem to be in every town in front of the churches. They are always beautiful.
The school across from the church. They had a big map of Panama out front so Mario and I checked out where exactly in Panama we were.
Back in the car selfie with Mario and Isaac! Time to go to dinner.
The church in Colorada. It reminded me of something you would see in New Mexico.
 Luis checking out the map.
These people had a horse in their backyard. SO COOL!
These people had a horse in their front yard. Not as cool as the other people since this one is not real but still pretty cool.
I tried to share the rain forest with you but we were driving too fast.
Some really cool houses out here in the country.
Back in Santiago. This is the Lebanese place we went to dinner. No rice pilaf but pretty much every thing else, including this Texas Burger, complete with a flag on top that said "Texas Attack!"
